As an attorney, Aaron is a dedicated community-builder and an avid defender for the rights the underrepresented and marginalized. Previously, Aaron has worked for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, Legal Assistance Foundation, the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and has worked as a solo practitioner. He has tried hundreds of cases, several jury trials, and currently supervises 20 lawyers and staff. He has also lectured on various areas of the law and was an adjunct professor at DePaul College of Law as well as North Park University.

Aaron Goldstein is the Democratic Committeeman of the 33rd Ward on Chicago’s Northwest side. He was elected in 2016 defeating long-time incumbent, Richard Mell.

As Committeeman, he formed 33rd Ward Democrats, an independent political organization. This last year, Aaron has hosted all the gubernatorial candidates and formed a judicial evaluation committee that evaluated judicial candidates in the 6th and 10th judicial sub-circuits of Cook County.

His priorities as a leader include transparency, accountability, fair judges and clean elections. He is running for Attorney General to ensure equal protection and to stand up for all Illinoisans.

Aaron is a graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and University of Iowa College of Law. He resides in Chicago with his wife and their two daughters.
