Rauner and Proft return to Quad Cities to highlight Administration failures
Rauner pandering for votes while Illinois sinks
Springfield, IL – On Saturday, April 29th, Governor Bruce Rauner and talk show host Dan Proft will return to Rock Island County as part of the “Blaming Everyone Else Tour”. They will both be pandering for votes at the Rock Island County Republicans Lincoln Day Dinner.
IDCCA President Doug House released the following statement ahead of the visit.
“Bruce Rauner seems to spend a lot of time on his “non-campaign” stops blaming the state’s problems on everyone else. Bruce Rauner is traveling here with Dan Proft who helped engineer a massive voter disenfranchisement scheme in Rock Island negatively impacting thousands of voters all for partisan gain. This speaks volumes about the Governor and his integrity.”
“Instead of doing his job and finally proposing a balanced budget, Gov. Rauner is playing political games in the Quad Cities with campaign trickster and fake newsman Dan Proft. Because Rauner refuses to govern, Illinois’ students, seniors, and economy continue to suffer. Students at Western Illinois University have to pay more in fees while the school’s credit rating has hit junk status. Enough campaigning, governor. It’s time to put people before politics and do your job.”
Concerned citizens will be gathering outside the Moline Viking Club on Saturday at 4:30pm to remind Bruce Rauner he should stop campaigning and start governing.
